From the Grand Prix de Rome to Vietnamese modern architecture
In 1955, Ngô Viết Thụ became the only Vietnamese recipient of the Grand Prix de Rome in architecture. In 1962, he was the first Asian architect named an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. His buildings and plans span multiple regions and types.
